What is tie wire used for?
Tie wire is used to secure steel reinforcement and mesh in place during the pouring of concrete. Lemon tying wire is comprised of 16-gauge black annealed mild steel, which is the preferred material among steel fixers. Concrete and wire spacers are also attached with tying wire.
Tying wire is a quick and simple way to connect two or more lengths of rebar reinforcement steel or mesh. This secures the steel in place before and throughout the concrete pour.
