It is made up of a series of parallel sheets, usually 12 inches wide and 30 inches long, that are hung between two solid supports, creating an acoustical barrier. Mass loaded vinyl is a high density membrane that is installed on floors, walls, and ceilings to absorb low-frequency sound waves, also known as bass and sound vibrations. Mass loaded vinyl is available in a range of thicknesses to meet sound-blocking requirements, ranging from 2.5 mm to 5 mm. The roll measures 1.2 meters x 10 meters (32 x 4 feet) and can cover up to 12 square meters (128 sq. ft.). Sound Barrier MLV is easily installed with SR adhesive and nails. HK Group mass loaded vinyl STC (Sound Transmission Class) in 1.8mm to 5mm thickness. With this product, lower frequencies can be easily isolated.

Applications of the Product
MLV (Mass Vinyl Loaded) is bulky due to its high density and mass. This product's molecules are flexible, making it easy to install on any surface, including refinery pipes for insulation, while also being closely attached and isolating the sound. Mass-loaded vinyl is simple to install, requiring only synthetic rubber adhesive and nails where necessary.
The illustration above shows how the sound barrier can be used. To isolate maximum sound and control vibrations, MLV must be the first layer in any type of construction. It should also be covered with a high- and medium-frequency sound absorber. On top of that, this soundproofing treatment can be covered with any material to match the interior design aesthetic.
